Eligible Degrees and Fields of Study
The scholarships are available for higher degree by research (HDR) courses, including Master’s and Doctoral degrees. Both domestic and international students enrolled at Deakin University are eligible, with awards granted to top-ranked applicants demonstrating outstanding academic and research potential.
Scholarship Benefits
Recipients of the RTP or DUPR scholarships receive a tax-exempt stipend of $27,596 to $28,092 per annum. A relocation allowance of $500 to $1,500 is provided for students moving interstate or overseas, depending on family size. International students receive overseas health coverage for the duration of the tuition fees offset. The scholarship duration is three years for stipends and four years for tuition fee offsets for Doctoral degrees, and two years for both stipend and tuition fee offsets for Master’s degrees.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be enrolled in an HDR course at Deakin University. To be eligible for an RTP Fees Offset, students must not be receiving an equivalent Commonwealth award. To receive an RTP or DUPR stipend, students must not have income exceeding 75% of the stipend from other sources supporting general living costs. Income unrelated to the student’s course of study or income not intended for living costs is not considered.
