Fellowship Overview
Since 1975, the CSEAS Visiting Research Fellowship Program has supported over 400 scholars worldwide, promoting comparative, multidisciplinary, and global research on Southeast Asia. Fellows engage in research, contribute to CSEAS journals, book series, and newsletters, and participate in academic exchange and collaborative projects.Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be accomplished scholars or professionals, typically under 65 years old, not enrolled in a graduate or postdoctoral program. Experienced librarians may apply for specific librarian positions. Prior CSEAS fellows must wait at least six years before reapplying. Applicants from diverse professions including government, media, NGOs, and IT are welcome.↚
