King-Morgridge Scholars Program 2026 at the University of Wisconsin–Madison
Program Overview
The King-Morgridge Scholars Program is UW–Madison’s most prestigious award for international students dedicated to poverty alleviation and social change. This highly selective scholarship recognizes academic excellence, leadership, creativity, and dedication to community impact.

Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the King-Morgridge Scholars Program, applicants must:
- Be incoming first-year students seeking a bachelor’s degree
- Be first-generation university students from low-income backgrounds
- Be within three years of high school graduation at the time of application
- Have graduated from high schools in Africa, the Caribbean, Latin America, South Asia,

- February 1, 2026: General scholarship application deadline for other awards
- March 2026: KMSP scholarship decisions released
