Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Fulbright Swedish Scholar Program 2026–2027, applicants must:
- Hold Swedish citizenship (without U.S. dual nationality)
- Be proficient in English
- Hold a doctoral or terminal degree before departing for the U.S.
- Have a confirmed affiliation with an American university or research institution
- Plan to stay in the U.S. for a minimum of three months and a maximum of twelve months
- Not currently be conducting research or teaching at a U.S. institution
