Applicants must be graduating high school seniors
Applicants must demonstrate a passion for reading, writing, and literature
Applicants must plan to attend an accredited college, university, or conservatory
Applicants must be legal residents or registered students in Polk County, Boone County, Dallas County, Jasper County, Madison County, Marion County, Story County, or Warren County in Iowa
Applicants may submit an application for only one Des Moines Women's Club scholarship during the application year
Applicants must meet all additional conditions included in the official scholarship application
Application Procedure
Eligible students should complete the official Des Moines Women's Club Literature Scholarship application
Applicants should provide accurate personal, academic, residency, and educational information
Students should clearly demonstrate their interest in literature, reading, and writing throughout the application
Applicants may be asked to provide academic records, proof of residency or school registration, and supporting materials related to their literary interests
All required application materials must be submitted before January 30, 2027
