Introduction
The MOFA Taiwan Fellowship is designed to support international professors researchers and doctoral scholars who wish to conduct advanced research in Taiwan The program focuses on strengthening academic cooperation and promoting intellectual exchange between Taiwan and the global academic community
Research areas may include Taiwan studies cross strait relations Asia Pacific regional development Sinology and Chinese studies Scholars are expected to develop research projects relevant to Taiwan or regional international issues

Monthly Financial Grant
Senior academic researchers including professors associate professors and research fellows receive NT 60000 per month
Assistant professors postdoctoral researchers doctoral candidates and doctoral students receive NT 50000 per month
Travel Support
One round trip economy class airfare is provided using the most direct route to Taiwan subject to program regulations
Insurance Coverage
Accident insurance coverage up to NT 1 million
Additional medical insurance for accidental injuries during the fellowship period
This funding allows scholars to focus completely on research academic writing and intellectual development without financial pressure
Eligibility
Open to international applicants of all nationalities
Applicants must hold academic positions such as professor associate professor assistant professor postdoctoral researcher doctoral candidate or equivalent research level
Candidates must be affiliated with recognized universities or research institutions outside Taiwan
