Eligible Programs
Scholarships are available for first-time enrolments in undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs at Waikato University. The scholarship applies only to tuition fees and is not transferable. Students must pay their first-year tuition fees and apply for a student visa; scholarship funds are applied to tuition after enrollment is confirmed.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must:
- Be a citizen of Jordan
- Not currently be enrolled at the University of Waikato
- Not have paid fees at the time of application
- Be applying for the first time in an undergraduate or postgraduate degree
- Not be classified as a domestic student
- Meet Waikato University’s English language requirements, or hold an offer for the Certificate of Attainment in Academic English
- Have received a conditional or unconditional offer from Waikato University
- Commence a full-time program of at least 12 months duration
- Reside in New Zealand for the duration of the scholarship (maximum 50% online study permitted if available)
- Not be coming via a sponsoring body, Guaranteed Credit Arrangement, study abroad, or exchange program
- Hold a minimum GPA equivalent of B+
