Advance Your Career with DAAD Development-Related Postgraduate Courses (EPOS)

Details

The DAAD EPOS programme funds postgraduate and Master’s degrees at state or state-recognised German universities
In exceptional cases, doctoral studies may also be supported
Scholarships are available exclusively for selected development-oriented postgraduate courses in Germany
Duration of funding ranges from 12 to 42 months depending on the study programme
Support includes monthly payments, health, accident and personal liability insurance, and a travel allowance when not covered by the home country or other sources

Monthly payments of 992 euros for postgraduate students and 1,300 euros for doctoral candidates
Payments may increase to 1,400 euros beginning February 2026 for doctoral candidates
Additional support may include monthly rent subsidies and allowances for accompanying family members

Eligibility

Graduates with at least two years of professional experience from eligible developing or newly industrialised countries
Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field with above-average performance
