The Hauwa Ojeifo Scholarship is delivered by One Young World in partnership with the Hauwa Ojeifo Global Impact Fund for Women & Girls This transformative initiative supports outstanding young leaders who are actively working to combat child marriage gender based violence mental health disparities maternal and child health inequalities disability rights violations and sexual and reproductive health challenges
Now in its second year the scholarship equips a select cohort of 16 exceptional young leaders with the global exposure mentorship and collaborative opportunities needed to amplify their impact and drive systemic change in their communities
Degree Level
This scholarship is not linked to a specific academic degree It is leadership focused and impact driven Applicants may be students graduates or young professionals There is no bachelor master or doctoral requirement What matters most is demonstrated leadership measurable impact and dedication to improving the lives of women and girls

Open to applicants of all nationalities
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be between 18 and 30 years old at the time of the One Young World Summit Candidates slightly older may be considered if they demonstrate exceptional impact
Must hold a leadership role work within an organization or lead an independent initiative with proven results in at least one of the following areas Mental health including neurodivergence and developmental differences Domestic and sexual violence Disability rights and rights of older people Gynaecological health and sexual and reproductive health and rights Maternal and child health Issues affecting the girl child including FGM child adolescent pregnancy and child marriage Non communicable diseases
Must reside in Africa Asia or the Middle East and actively contribute to positive change within their community
Must be willing to engage with fellow scholars and participate in collaborative activities
