Scholarship Details

Awarded by Universitas Sebelas Maret in Surakarta, the scholarship offers full or partial support for the academic year 2026 across undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programmes. Full scholarships include a waiver of tuition fees, a generous monthly living stipend of IDR 1,500,000 for bachelor’s students, IDR 1,750,000 for master’s students, and IDR 2,250,000 for doctoral students. All recipients also enjoy free Indonesian language training and health insurance coverage throughout their stay 

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates must be non-Indonesian citizens under the age of 24 for bachelor’s applicants and must not hold refugee status or have any serious criminal record. Applicants should demonstrate financial capability beyond what the scholarship provides, be available for online interviews, and showcase a genuine interest in studying at UNS. Minimum English proficiency is required—students in scientific fields need TOEFL ≥ 450 or equivalent, whereas those in social sciences must have TOEFL ≥ 500 or equivalent. Although not mandatory, Indonesian language ability is highly preferred

How to Apply

Applicants must begin by selecting an eligible UNS programme and downloading the official Letter of Offer from the university’s portal. Once you have the offer, visit your nearest Indonesian Embassy or Consulate to request a recommendation letter, bringing the offer, passport, and academic records. Then create an account on the UNS International Admission Portal to complete your personal details, upload required documents including passport, transcripts, motivation letter, financial statement, and additional materials such as CV, health certificate, and letters of recommendation. For doctoral applicants, a research proposal is also needed. The application window opens on July 1, 2025, and closes on 30 September 2025, with interview phases and notifications following shortly afterward
