Fellowship Overview

The KAUST Global Fellowship supports research aligned with the university’s core divisions: Biological and Environmental Science and Engineering, Computer, Electrical, and Mathematical Science and Engineering, and Physical Science and Engineering. Research should also address key global themes including health and wellness, sustainable environment and essential needs, energy and industrial leadership, and economies of the future.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants of all nationalities are welcome. Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. within the last four years on or after January 2022 and completed it before the fellowship begins. Applicants should be prepared to relocate to Saudi Arabia for the full three-year duration and must identify a KAUST faculty host willing to support their research proposal.

Benefits of the Fellowship

Fellows receive an annual living stipend of $75,000, research funding up to $40,000, full medical insurance, free accommodation, schooling support for up to two children, a relocation allowance, and an annual travel grant.
