Program Overview

The scholarship applies to the following Master’s programs at KU Leuven:

  • Master of Bioscience Engineering: Cellular and Genetic Engineering
  • Master of Bioscience Engineering: Agro- and Ecosystems Engineering

The program duration is typically 1–2 years depending on the chosen Master’s track.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Be a national of a Least Developed Country (LDC) or Low-Income Country (LIC) as listed by OECD-DAC
  • For Master of Water Resources Engineering and Master of Food Technology: Nationals from VLIR-UOS-listed countries (e.g., Bolivia, Indonesia, Kenya, Morocco, Philippines, South Africa, Vietnam, Zimbabwe)
  • Hold a first degree obtained in the country of nationality
  • Meet KU Leuven’s admission requirements for the chosen program
