Lead at the Highest Level with the White House Fellows Program 2026–2027
Established in 1964 and administered by the President’s Commission on White House Fellowships, the program has helped develop generations of influential leaders in government, business, academia, and the military.
Program Details
The fellowship takes place in Washington, DC and runs for one year, from September 2026 to August 2027. Fellows are appointed as full-time government employees and work directly with Cabinet Secretaries, senior White House staff, and other high-ranking officials.
The application deadline is April 22, 2026 at 5:00 PM EDT.
Fellowship Experience
Selected fellows gain firsthand experience in federal leadership and policymaking. Participants work on major national issues, contribute to strategic projects, and observe how decisions are made at the highest level of government.
The program also includes educational trips, seminars, and discussions with leading figures in public service, giving fellows a deeper understanding of national and international affairs.
