Established in 2014 as a partnership between Ghent University in Belgium and Incheon National University in Korea, Ghent University Korea is located in Incheon, just 30 km from Seoul. Types of Scholarships Available

The scholarship program includes full scholarships covering tuition, accommodation, and living expenses, as well as partial scholarships covering tuition fees only. Additional opportunities include academic excellence scholarships, research scholarships, Korean language learning scholarships, student exchange scholarships, summer internship scholarships, and special talent scholarships in arts and sports.

Financial Support and Benefits

Selected students receive generous support, including full tuition fee waivers, a monthly stipend ranging from $800 to $1,200, university dormitory accommodation, annual round-trip airfare, comprehensive health insurance, book and study material allowances, funding for academic conferences, and an additional one-year Korean language scholarship. Opportunities for part-time on-campus work are also available.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be non-Korean citizens residing outside Korea. Undergraduate applicants require a high school diploma, master’s applicants need a bachelor’s degree, and PhD applicants must hold a master’s degree. Candidates must demonstrate English proficiency with a minimum IELTS score of 6.5 (or equivalent) and maintain a GPA of at least 3.0 out of 4.0 (or equivalent).
