Scholarship details
This programme officially known as the Prof Stefan Banach Scholarship is administered by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange in cooperation with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs It allows international students to pursue a fully funded master degree starting from the academic year twenty twenty six twenty twenty seven
Students may also benefit from an optional preparatory year to learn the Polish language before beginning their studies
Available fields
The scholarship supports a wide range of academic disciplines including engineering and technical sciences agriculture and natural sciences life sciences environmental studies and selected social sciences
Priority is given to fields that contribute to sustainable development and global progress
Eligibility criteria
Applicants must hold a bachelor degree or be in their final semester and must have graduated no earlier than twenty twenty four Candidates must not have previously received a NAWA scholarship and must not hold or be applying for Polish citizenship
Applicants are required to meet language requirements either in English or Polish and must apply simultaneously to a Polish university
Study options
Students can choose between studying in Polish or English Those selecting the Polish path need B2 level proficiency or can begin with a preparatory language year Applicants choosing the English path must demonstrate B2 level English and will also receive a short course in Polish language and culture
Scholarship benefits
This is a fully funded scholarship that includes a monthly stipend of two thousand five hundred Polish zloty full tuition fee waiver at public universities and a one time international travel allowance
Students may also receive a fully funded preparatory course in Polish along with access to high quality education and advanced research facilities
Eligible applicants
The scholarship is open to students from thirty seven eligible countries across Asia Africa the Middle East Eastern Europe and Latin America creating a diverse and international academic environment
Selection criteria
Candidates are evaluated based on academic performance video self presentation and an optional recommendation letter A minimum total score of seventy points is required including at least fifty points from academic achievements
