Fellowship Overview

The Concordia University Graduate Fellowships 2025–26 offer four awards valued at $5,000 each. Fellows will be officially recognized as Graduate Student Fellows of the Social Justice Centre, profiled on the Centre’s website, and integrated into Concordia’s vibrant academic community. The fellowship provides access to shared research and coworking spaces and opportunities to participate in events and collaborations in social justice research.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must be currently enrolled in a graduate program (MA or PhD) at Concordia University and conducting research related to social justice. Priority is given to students in the writing stage of their thesis. The program is open to applicants of all nationalities.

Fellowship Benefits

Selected fellows receive a $5,000 bursary to advance their research, academic recognition as Graduate Student Fellows, visibility on the Centre’s official website, networking opportunities through Centre events, and access to collaborative workspaces at Concordia University. Fellows are expected to conduct their research project during the fellowship period, present their work to Centre members, and participate in Centre-organized events.

The email should include the applicant’s full name, degree program, department, thesis supervisor’s name and department, and project title with research topic(s). A single PDF attachment must contain an updated CV, a current transcript, and a 2-page project description outlining the research question, connection to social justice, project timeline, and expectations.
